The Mas du Notaire : in the heart of the “petite Camargue” !
In Gallician-Vauvert, in small Camargue between Nimes and Montpellier, Le Mas du Notaire – whose stones date back to the middle of the 19th century – takes its name from one of its owners at the beginning of the 20th century, then an honorary notary. Acquired in 2004 by the Jean-Pierre RAMBIER family, echoing the first profession of Mireille, it was completely renovated in 2007.
In the fourteenth century, the wines of Saint-Gilles, Nîmes and La Costière are among the most prized of the Pontifical Court of Avignon; The appellation changed its name in 1989 becoming Costières de Nîmes.
The estate covers 30 hectares of vines with pebbles, on the old bed of the Rhone, typical of the Rhone Valley in AOP Costières de Nîmes.
Traditional methods, transmitted for more than 5 generations, vine growing, harvesting, vinification and breeding are rigorously applied. They participate in the elaboration of wines of great typicity and fine fineness …
We are waiting for you to enjoy a glass of wine in the shade of the plane trees of the courtyard. We wish to please you … See you soon at the Mas du Notaire!
